Nutritional Counseling
Creating a healthy diet should be one of your first priorities after being diagnosed with diabetes. This can be a difficult challenge to tackle alone, but St. Croix Health is here to help. We have two registered dietitians, certified diabetes care and education specialists. They can provide you with nutritional and weight management counseling for Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational diabetes.
An important thing to remember about creating a diet is that your plan should be customized for your unique needs and body type. There is no “one-size-fits-all” diet plan. You need to make sure that your specific needs are being addressed. Call 1-800-828-3627 to schedule an appointment with Robin or Andrea (a physician referral is required).
Additional Resources
In addition to nutritional counseling, we offer many other services to help you learn about and manage diabetes. This is not a journey you need to make alone, there is an entire team of care professionals and other patients with diabetes who can help you make healthy choices.
